• VAT (7%)
  • Some dealerships don’t include VAT in the displayed price. For example, if the listed price is 300,000 THB, you might need to pay an additional 21,000 THB in VAT.
• Annual Tax / Compulsory Insurance / Optional Insurance
  • If these have expired, you’ll need to renew them before driving legally.
  • Consider purchasing comprehensive insurance (Class 1) for added peace of mind.
• Initial Maintenance or Repairs
  • Budget 5,000–15,000 THB for oil changes, tire replacements, brake pads, or batteries after purchase.

• Car Reservation Fee
  • Usually 5,000–10,000 THB to hold the car while your loan is being approved (typically takes 3–5 business days).
• Down Payment
  • Normally 10–20% of the car price, depending on your credit profile and the lender’s requirements.
• Processing Fees + Ownership Transfer
  • Some lenders charge 3,000–7,000 THB for handling documents, or it may be waived with promotions.
  • Stamp duty for transfer: 500 THB per 100,000 THB of the car’s value.
• Insurance
  • A full year of auto insurance is typically required for financed vehicles. If the remaining policy is under 6 months, a new policy will be needed.
• Loan Interest + VAT
  • Interest rates vary with loan duration. Longer terms mean more interest. VAT is usually included in your monthly installment.
