Toyota clarifies record-breaking bookings, #2 at the show but undisputed #1 nationwide

Toyota has revealed a monumental surge in demand during the Motor Show period, reaching a staggering 28,580 units nationwide, cementing their position as the country's top automotive brand.

Following the buzz surrounding the Bangkok International Motor Show 2026 rankings, Toyota Motor Thailand disclosed that their performance extended far beyond the exhibition hall. The previously reported figures represented only "on-site" bookings, led by the Yaris ATIV (3,982 units), Hilux (3,407 units), and Yaris Cross (3,115 units). Notably, the all-new LAND CRUISER FJ smashed expectations with over 700 on-site bookings alone.

Nationwide Sales Breakdown (Total: 28,580 Units):

Commercial Vehicles:

• HILUX Series: 8,468 units (29.6% of total), including the Hilux TRAVO, REVO, and CHAMP.
• FORTUNER: 1,463 units (5.1%).
• LAND CRUISER FJ: 920 units (3.2%)—an impressive feat for a pre-launch phase.

Passenger Cars:

• Yaris ATIV: 7,427 units (26%).
• YARIS CROSS: 4,678 units (16.4%).
• COROLLA CROSS: 2,641 units (9.2%).
• bZ4X (All-Electric): 539 units (1.9%).

Mr. Supakorn Rattanawaraha, Executive Vice President, stated: "Toyota is deeply grateful for the continued trust in our products and integrated services. These figures reflect Thai customers' confidence in our reliability and our ability to meet diverse needs through our 'Multi-Pathway Strategy.' This is bolstered by our nationwide service network and sustainable after-sales commitment."

Toyota also confirmed that deliveries for most models will begin immediately, with the exception of the Land Cruiser FJ, which is scheduled for delivery starting in May.
