World’s fastest charging? Geely unveils Lynk & Co 10 with 10–97% charge in under 9 minutes

Geely’s Lynk & Co is taking on BYD’s 'Megawatt Flash Charging' with the new Lynk & Co 10, which can charge from 10% to 97% in a staggering 8 minutes and 42 seconds.

The Lynk & Co 10 and 10+ come equipped with the "Energee Golden Brick" ultra-fast charging battery. Depending on the variant, the vehicles utilise either an 800V or 900V high-voltage architecture.

A standout moment during testing occurred when the car was paired with Zeekr’s V4 Megawatt Flash Charging station (yet to be commercially released). The peak power output soared beyond 1100kW. Most remarkably, even after surpassing the 80% State of Charge (SOC) mark, the system maintained a charging rate of over 500kW all the way to 97%—effectively beating BYD’s record by a decisive 18 seconds.

Designed as a mid-to-large sporty electric sedan, the Lynk & Co 10 series is built on a high-voltage platform to directly challenge the Xiaomi SU7. With an estimated price range of 200,000 – 230,000 Yuan (£22,000 – £25,000 approx.), it offers supercar-level performance for the mass market.
