A closer look at the Wuling Binguo Pro with already over 30,000 bookings ahead of its official launch on May 22 in China

SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) China has announced the success of the Wuling Binguo Pro, its latest compact electric vehicle, which has secured 30,000 bookings.

Since the pre-sale began on April 14, customers have actively locked in their orders, with over 10,000 units already delivered. Prices start at approximately 295,000 – 365,000 THB. The official launch in China is scheduled for May 22.

The Binguo Family Variants:

• Binguo (Base Model): 56,800 – 84,800 Yuan (285,000 – 425,000 THB
• Binguo Pro: 58,800 – 72,800 Yuan (295,000 – 365,000 THB)
• Binguo S: 66,800 – 89,800 Yuan (335,000 – 450,000 THB)
• Binguo Plus: 75,800 – 98,800 Yuan (380,000 – 495,000 THB)

Updates for the PRO Model

The Binguo Pro represents a major facelift from the original model launched in 2023. Key highlights include:

• A refreshed design that is more modern and "cute," featuring round headlights.
• Larger dimensions: 4,050 mm in length, 1,758 mm in width, and a 2,560 mm wheelbase.
• A retro-style cabin focused on cream-beige tones with chrome trim, yet futuristic with a 12.8-inch infotainment screen and Ling OS, supporting voice commands and AI.

Power and Charging

All Wuling Binguo Pro variants use a front-wheel-drive motor with a maximum output of 65 kW (87 hp) and a top speed of 130 km/h. However, a critical difference lies in the "Battery Cooling System," which significantly affects usage across models.

• Entry Model: 31.9 kWh LFP battery (330 km CLTC range) with "Air Cooling." DC charging from 30-80% takes 35 minutes, which may lead to slower charging speeds (Rapidgating) when the battery is overheated.
• Top Model: 37.9 kWh LFP battery (403 km CLTC range) with "Liquid Cooling." It supports 3C fast charging, allowing a 30-80% DC charge in just 15 minutes and supports up to 6.6 kW AC charging.

The Wuling's Situation in ASEAN

Although Wuling's sales in China dropped by nearly 50% in early 2026, its international performance, including ASEAN markets, remains strong, particularly with manufacturing bases in Indonesia and Malaysia.

The arrival of the Right-Hand Drive (RHD) Binguo Pro is expected soon, with leaked images or testing data in the ASEAN region and Thailand likely to emerge shortly to compete with rivals like the Geely EX2 and ORA 5.
