MG 07 Revealed! the first sport coupe fastback equipped with Momenta R7 intelligent driving and full electric powertrain

The first set of official images for the MG 07 has been released—a coupe with supercar-like design but priced in the hundreds of thousands!

The MG 07 is developed on SAIC’s next-generation NEV platform, positioned as a high-tech, high-performance vehicle with a price range of approximately 150,000 – 200,000 Yuan (around 750,000 – 1,000,000 THB). It is prepared to enter the Chinese market within 2026.

Full-Scale Sport Coupe Design

The MG 07 arrives with a Fastback body style that emphasises a low-slung and wide stance, providing a full sports car image with several interesting details:

• Front: Features striking C-shaped LED headlights and an Active Intake grille, alongside a Clamshell hood designed as a single integrated piece.
• Side: Equipped with frameless doors, semi-hidden door handles, and air vents on the fenders.
• Wheels and Brakes: Two-tone sport alloy wheels paired with vibrant-coloured brake callipers.
• Special Exterior Colour: debuting in "Morello Purple" (or Monte Carlo Purple), offering a deep, premium gloss.

Top-Tier Intelligent Driving System

A major highlight of the MG 07 is being the first model to feature the Momenta R7 "Enhanced World Model" intelligent driving system, which works in conjunction with:

• Roof-mounted LiDAR for high-precision detection.
• The X7 processing chip, specifically developed to support large-scale AI processing.
• Supports Urban NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) and seamless automated parking, features typically found only in luxury vehicles priced above 1.5 million THB.

Power and Drivetrain

For its China market, the MG 07 will offer both Pure Electric (BEV) and Hybrid (PHEV) variants:

• BEV Model: Expected to offer both Rear-Wheel Drive single motors (200-250 kW) and All-Wheel Drive dual motors (300 kW+), capable of achieving 0-100 km/h in under 4 seconds.
• PHEV Model: Utilises a 1.5-litre Turbo engine working with an electric motor, offering a pure electric range of 150-200 km and a total combined range exceeding 1,000 km.

MG continues to achieve success in international markets, particularly in Europe, where cumulative sales have surpassed 1 million units. In China, the brand maintains strong sales performance, with over 18,000 units sold in March alone.

For Thailand: In 2026, MG continues its aggressive push with the continuous launch of new models (such as the MG IM5 and MG S5). The MG 07 is considered a prime candidate for future introduction to the market as an electric sports car, aiming to challenge the Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal.
