Flagship Advancements and Super Hi4 Technology

The exterior design of the Wey V9X blends traditional Chinese architectural art with futuristic elements. It stands out with a closed grille featuring a "Star-ring" pattern and a "Galaxy" continuous light bar. The intelligent Hi Light headlights can project 6 driving-assist graphic patterns onto the road surface along with seasonal welcome animations. The vehicle offers two body sizes:

  • Family Edition: Length 5,205 mm / Width 2,025 mm / Height 1,825 mm (Wheelbase 3,050 mm).
  • Extended Edition (Long Wheelbase): Length 5,299 mm / Width 2,025 mm / Height 1,825 mm (Wheelbase 3,150 mm).

First-Class Cabin with AI

The interior is luxuriously decorated under the "Warm Embrace" concept, packed with information and entertainment screens all around:

  • A 12.3-inch instrument cluster alongside separate 17.3-inch central and passenger displays.
  • A 29-inch SR-HUD.

Driven by the Qualcomm 8295P chip paired with the "Xiao Wei" AI assistant system, it works with a 5-megapixel camera to process the driver's emotions and identity.

The highlight of the rear space is the second-row "Zero Gravity King Chair," which comes with up to a 22-point electric massage system and a 4-way electric leg rest. Rear entertainment is enhanced by a 21.4-inch ceiling screen and a 7-litre refrigerator, while allowing passengers to fully immerse themselves via the Coffee AI Sound system featuring 31 speakers, outputting a peak power of 3,080 watts.

Super Hi4 Powertrain and Suspension

The engineering system utilises a 2.0T turbocharged petrol engine (235 hp) combined with dual electric motors and a 4-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). This delivers a maximum power output ranging from 671 hp up to a peak of 738 hp in the top model, paired with a maximum battery capacity of 80 kWh, allowing a pure electric range of around 310 - 470 km.:

The closed dual-chamber air suspension system (Super Smart Chassis) can adjust the ride height up and down by 100 mm, paired with a ±10 degree rear-wheel steering system that yields a tight turning radius of just 5.1 metres. It also introduces a world-first innovation called Virtual Wheelbase Adjustment, allowing the vehicle's computer brain to virtually simulate and adjust the wheelbase from 2.2 to 3.15 metres in real-time, enhancing agility or stability according to road surfaces and driving situations.

A chance for Thai market? –  Currently, GWM Thailand has a clear objective to become the number one Chinese automotive brand in the hearts of Thai consumers under the "GWM ONE" strategy. Although the Wey V9X launched as a luxury Chinese-spec vehicle, its modular platform concept with up to a 95% component-sharing rate means there is a high possibility that this Super Hi4 technology and powertrain will be applied to the TANK family or serve as a blueprint for premium vehicle development to be imported to open the market in Thailand in the future.
