All-New MG4 EV Urban – New Platform, Space-Focused

The major highlight of the Urban model is the utilization of MG's latest front-wheel-drive “E3 Platform,” which differs from the original rear-wheel-drive MG4. It focuses on a smoother style and practical exterior spaces that borrow design elements from the MG Cyberster, such as arrow-shaped LED taillights and a front air intake.

• Class-Leading Spacious Cabin: Front headroom of 997 mm, rear headroom of 957 mm, and a vast rear legroom of up to 984 mm, accompanied by 30 storage points throughout the cabin.
• Fully Loaded Cargo Capacity: The rear boot has a capacity of 479 litres (with an additional 98 litres hidden underfloor). When the seats are folded flat, the storage area expands to a maximum of 1,364 litres.
• Technology and Safety Systems: Fitted with a 12.8-inch HD central screen and a 7-inch driver's instrument display, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Physical buttons for air conditioning and multimedia controls are provided due to popular demand. It comes with the MG Pilot suite featuring 17 functions and has earned a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
• Powertrain and Charging: 
  • Standard Range Variant: 43kWh battery, supporting DC fast charging from 10-80% in 28 minutes.
  • Long Range Variant: 54kWh battery, traveling up to 415 km (WLTP), with DC charging from 10-80% in 30 minutes. A heat pump system comes as standard across all trims.

2026 MG4 EV Facelift: Rear-Wheel Drive, More Powerful, Extended Range

For the rear-wheel-drive MG4 EV and the all-wheel-drive (XPOWER) model, a major Big Minorchange facelift has been applied for the 2026 model year. The exterior design has been refreshed with new 18-inch sporty alloy wheels, a newly designed rear spoiler, and three new body colours (Ealing Green, Cosmic Silver, Piccadilly Blue).

• Premium Cabin: Materials have been refined for a more luxurious feel, adopting screens from the MG S5 EV. It changes to a newly designed 10.25-inch LCD driver's instrument cluster split into 5 display zones, and a 12.8-inch central display with an easier-to-use Card-style layout.
• Premium Long Range Variant: Rear motor producing 140 kW, 64kWh battery, traveling up to 450 km, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds.
• Premium Extended Range Variant: Rear motor producing 180 kW, 77kWh battery, delivering an impressive range of up to 544 km (WLTP), hitting 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. It stands as the longest-range electric car at the lowest price point in the UK at this time.
• XPOWER Variant (AWD): Dual-motor all-wheel drive, delivering a massive 320 kW (435 hp) and 600 Nm of torque, sprinting from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The retail price has been slashed by up to £2,750 (around 120,000 THB) to enhance its market competitiveness.
