BYD has officially announced the launch of its latest "Song Ultra DM-i," the next-generation upgraded version of the BYD Sealion 5 DM-i in Thailand. This SUV arrives equipped with the latest 5th-generation Super PHEV technology, breaking record efficiency and delivering an unprecedentedly long driving range from BYD, fully loaded with advanced safety options. It is anticipated to pass this exceptional value on to the Thai market in the near future, with retail prices starting at 624,000 THB in China.

The BYD Sealion 5 DM-i reveals a shockingly competitive retail pricing structure in China, starting between 129,900 – 159,900 Yuan—translating to roughly 624,000 – 768,000 Thai Baht only.

All trims arrive standard with the DiPilot “God’s Eye C” autonomous driving assistance system. By adding an additional premium of approximately 60,000 THB, the vehicle upgrades to the LiDAR-equipped DiPilot 300 “God’s Eye B” version to completely unlock Navigation on Autopilot within city limits (City NOA). Furthermore, the brand has announced a comprehensive liability guarantee for any accidents, provided that the mishap is proven to be caused by a fault within the vehicle's autonomous assistance system itself.

For Thailand – Currently, BYD Thailand and Rever Automotive are aggressively moving forward with marketing the plug-in hybrid (Super PHEV) category, as seen from the accessible launch of the Seal 5 DM-i sedan and the debut of the current-gen Sealion 5 DM-i at the past Bangkok International Motor Show 2026.
