MG 07 – a sleek-designed sport coupe makes its debut with optional 100% EV and a plug-in hybrid version.

MG China has unveiled the MG 07, a new fastback sedan developed on SAIC Motor's next-generation NEV platform. It is equipped with the brand's first-ever Momenta R7 intelligent driving. Positioned as a flagship vehicle in an accessible price segment of approximately 150,000 – 200,000 Yuan (750,000 – 1,000,000 THB), it is prepared to enter the Chinese market within 2026.

• 100% Electric Model (BEV): Equipped with a 67 kWh battery providing a maximum range of up to 670 km (CLTC). It is powered by a high-efficiency rear electric motor producing up to 176 kW.
• Plug-in Hybrid Model (PHEV): Utilizes a 1.5-litre engine paired with a 152 kW electric motor and a 30 kWh battery, offering an impressive pure electric driving range (EV Range) of up to 185 km (WLTC standard).

"Momenta R7" Intelligent Driving Tech

• Hardware: Equipped with roof-mounted LiDAR for high-precision object detection.
• Software: As the first MG model to adopt the Momenta R7 system, it goes beyond simple human-driving imitation. By employing a "World Model," the vehicle understands the relationship between objects and causal factors on the road, allowing it to assess risks and make intelligent, safe driving decisions.

The MG 07 highlights its design with a special “Morello Purple” body colour that emphasises the car’s sharp lines. It features a fastback body shape with a roofline sloping low to the rear, C-shaped LED headlights, an Active Intake grille for aerodynamic efficiency, semi-hidden door handles, and exclusive model-specific alloy wheels.

Outlook for the Thai Market

Currently, the MG 07 is focused on the Chinese domestic market for 2026. However, given MG Thailand’s continuous strategy of importing electric vehicles, it is considered one of the models likely to be considered for future introduction, serving as a competitive choice in the electric sport sedan segment.
