OMODA & JAECOO (Thailand) Co., Ltd., under the Chery Group, has made a big move in the new energy vehicle market by launching the JAECOO 6T REEV. This is the first boxy, off-road style Range Extended EV (REEV) SUV in Thailand. It focuses on delivering a 100% electric driving feel but allows you to travel long distances easily by filling up with petrol to generate electricity.

The car launches with a special introductory price starting at just 879,900 THB for the first 1,000 customers, offering the best value in its class.

The REEV Concept

The JAECOO 6T REEV uses a 'Series Hybrid' system that feels exactly like driving a 100% electric car at all times. This is because the electric motors drive the wheels directly. The 156 hp 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine only starts up to generate electricity back into the 33.67 kWh battery when energy runs low. This allows drivers to use pure electricity for daily city driving and head out on long cross-province trips instantly without waiting in line at charging stations.

The car can also be plugged in to charge just like a standard EV. It supports 6.6 kW AC charging and up to 100 kW DC Fast Charging. It also comes with a 2.3 kW V2L system to power external electrical devices, making it perfect for camping trips.

Rugged Design and Body Size

The car features a tough, boxy design that looks aggressive yet modern. The body is 4,503 mm long, 1,950 mm wide, and 1,785 mm high, with a wide wheelbase of 2,783 mm. This creates a bright and spacious cabin with a 450-litre rear boot.

Safety systems and interior features are fully loaded with a large central screen, a 6-way power adjustable driver's seat with memory functions, and a Seat Welcome system that automatically slides the seat back when you get in. The 4WD Ultra model gets upgraded to twin electric motors making 428 hp, hitting 0-100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, while adding massive 21-inch alloy wheels and an electric Panoramic Sunroof.

The JAECOO 6T REEV arrives as a fully imported (CBU) model from China. Special introductory pricing is available for the first 1,000 customers who book by 31 July 2026 and take delivery within August 2026:
