Deep Dive: The Two Concept Models

1. MG GO! The Retro-Futuristic Urban EV (Arriving 2027) – This 100% electric B-segment hatchback concept serves as a preview for a production model slated for 2027. The vehicle was crafted by the team at the MG Design Centre in London, led by Advanced Design Director Carl Gotham.

  • Emotion-Driven Design: The styling borrows clean, powerful lines from past favourites like the MGB GT, alongside the fun character of the MG Metro Turbo, MG ZR, and the wild MG EX4. The goal is to build an emotional bond between the car and modern drivers.
  • Proportions: The body emphasizes a playful, agile, and approachable stance tailored perfectly for daily city driving.

"With the MG GO!, we wanted to create a vehicle that is compact and contemporary, yet instantly warm, distinct, and lovable,"

"It is not about looking back at the past with pointless nostalgia. Instead, it is about capturing the unique clarity, charm, and appeal of the MG brand, reinterpreting it for today’s world to create something with a powerful charisma."

– explains Carl Gotham, Advanced Design Director.

2. MG Cyber Concept, Flagship Electric SUV – A high-performance, full-sized D-segment SUV concept positioned to represent the future of MG's luxury flagship models. Its styling draws heavy inspiration from the legendary EX181 streamliner record car.

  • Track-Inspired Performance: Brings genuine driving fun, sharp handling, and race-car excitement into a practical, high-riding SUV package.
  • Powerful Stance: The exterior focuses on muscular, flowing lines that make the vehicle look energetic and ready to leap forward at any moment.

""Great design starts with people, not the product. Technology and innovation can be shared, but unique identity and character cannot,"

"The future of car design is about creating vehicles with a presence so strong that people connect with them emotionally right away. It should spark curiosity, excitement, and desire... Our job is to build products that enrich their life journeys."

– says Jozef Kabaň, Vice President of Design.
