BMW Thailand has officially hosted the BMW iX3 “Masterclass” driving experience at the Pathum Thani Speedway. The exclusive track event gathered over 60 journalists from across the ASEAN region to put the all-new BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport through its paces.

The new BMW iX3 introduces a complete styling rethink. The exterior revives the classic vertical kidney grille design from the original 1960s Neue Klasse cars, updated with a striking "BMW Iconic Glow" light outline that replaces traditional chrome borders.

The vehicle carries a rugged, muscular SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) stance, featuring bold squared-off wheel arches and massive 22-inch BMW Individual aerodynamic alloy wheels. Practicality remains strong, offering up to 1,750 litres of rear boot space with the seats folded flat, alongside a handy 58-litre front boot under the bonnet for extra storage.

BMW Panoramic iDrive and Shy Tech

Inside, the cabin takes a massive digital leap forward with the full-width BMW Panoramic iDrive running on the new BMW Operating System X. This system projects vital driving data across the entire bottom edge of the windscreen, working seamlessly with a crisp Matrix Backlight central screen.

The interior embraces a "Shy Tech" design approach, which cleverly hides unnecessary physical buttons to create a clean, uncluttered look. Drivers get a redesigned multi-function steering wheel equipped with haptic vibration feedback. The premium M Sport package comes standard, bringing sporty M Sport seats, a dedicated M steering wheel, and a heat-insulated panoramic glass roof to the cabin.

It manages the motor, braking force, and energy recovery together, ensuring incredibly sharp accelerator and steering responses. It also includes a "Soft Stop" function, which automatically coordinates the brakes to bring the car to a perfectly smooth stop without any front-end dipping.
• BMW Symbiotic Drive: A second dedicated processor managing autonomous driving tasks 20 times faster than before. It uses advanced AI to run the BMW Motorway Assistant and BMW City Assistant systems naturally in daily traffic.
• Stricter Safety Standards: Thanks to its high-strength build, the iX3 stands as one of the first new models to comfortably secure a 5-star safety rating under the much more rigid Euro NCAP testing standards.
