Cracked car glass, can it be repaired or does it need to be replaced?

If it's just a small crack that doesn't penetrate and is not a crack in the corner or edge of the glass repairable But if it's a crack larger than 3 inches with a hole through it, it's better to replace the whole glass for safety.
