How to obtain a registration number for a new vehicle? Want to change the registration number for your existing vehicle? Now, you can reserve your vehicle registration number online without having to visit the Department of Land Transport!

Things to Know Before Reserving Vehicle Registration Online:

• It's important to note that reserving a vehicle registration does not guarantee the availability of all registration numbers, and it is not available for reservation at all times. Therefore, it's advisable to check which vehicle registration numbers are available for reservation during that specific week with the Department of Land Transport.
• The Department of Land Transport only opens registration reservations periodically, typically from Monday to Friday, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Attempting to reserve a registration number outside of these hours will not be possible.
• The registered owner of the vehicle must be the one making the reservation.
• Ensure that you fill in all information accurately and thoroughly, as incorrect information can prevent successful registration and incomplete information will be considered invalid.
• Starting from June 1, 2023, individuals will need to undergo personal identity verification before being able to reserve vehicle registrations. This can be done through the ThaID application or in person at registration offices nationwide.

How to Reserve Vehicle Registration Online:

1. Visit the website and select "Reserve Registration Number."

2. Scan the QR code through the ThaID application to confirm your identity.

3. Read the detailed criteria carefully and then click "Accept Criteria."

4. Choose the vehicle type.

5. Select the reservation type (individual or legal entity/foreigner).

6. Fill in the required details accurately and completely, then click "Reserve Now."

7. Double-check the information and click "Confirm."
