GAC Aion RT: Official Launch of a High-Tech Electric Fastback

On September 22, 2025, GAC officially unveiled the upgraded Aion RT, an all-electric coupe-style Fastback sedan available in four variants priced between 99,800–123,800 RMB ($14,000–$17,900). The update focuses on added features and optimized pricing while maintaining the same exterior design and drivetrain. The top model offers a driving range of up to 650 km on a single charge.

The Aion RT features a streamlined Fastback coupe body with black window surrounds, hidden door handles, and a charging port integrated into the front fender.

Powertrains and Battery Options from CATL

The Aion RT uses CATL LFP batteries in two capacities:

• 55.1 kWh (150 kW / 201 hp motor) – range up to 520 km
• 68.1 kWh (165 kW / 221 hp motor) – range up to 650 km

Fast-charging capability supports 400V SiC 3C tech, charging from 30–80% in just 18 minutes, or adding 160–200 km of range in 10 minutes.
