Toyota Hilux TRAVO to Make Global Debut in Thailand on November 10

Toyota is set to unveil the all-new Hilux TRAVO on November 10, with Thailand chosen as the stage for its world premiere — a fitting move given the country’s long-standing role as Toyota’s global pickup production hub.

A New Name for a New Generation
Replacing the long-running Hilux Revo, the TRAVO name signifies “Travel + Move Forward,” symbolizing Toyota’s vision for modern mobility and adventure. This marks the first major model name change for the Hilux in a decade.

Diesel Power Meets Full Electric Innovation
Under the hood, the Hilux TRAVO retains its proven 2.8-liter 1GD diesel engine, now tuned for improved performance and efficiency with 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

For the first time ever, Toyota will also introduce a fully electric version – the Hilux TRAVO EV, derived from the earlier Revo BEV Concept. It will feature a 59.4 kWh battery and an estimated driving range of 300 km (WLTP) on a single charge.

Stronger Platform, EV-Ready Design
Built on an enhanced version of the Hilux Revo chassis, the TRAVO incorporates structural reinforcements and battery-mounting provisions for the EV model. These upgrades aim to deliver better ride stability, safety, and overall toughness for diverse driving conditions.

Bold Exterior, Modern Interior
The Hilux TRAVO adopts a completely new design — larger body proportions, muscular wheel arches, a refreshed grille, and full LED lighting give it a commanding presence.

Inside, the cabin has been entirely reworked with a more ergonomic layout, modern infotainment interface, and upgraded materials. Toyota has redefined the interior to match the comfort and sophistication expected from premium SUVs like the FJ Cruiser.
