The new Nissan X-Trail facelift is set to take on the RAV4 and CR-V in its US launch

Nissan has unveiled the 2027 Rogue, the US counterpart to our X-Trail e-POWER. This update marks a significant shift as Nissan introduces its e-POWER technology to the North American market for the first time. 

This bold, sportier design that is destined for global markets, including Thailand.

Aggressive Design Evolution

The 2027 update features a complete exterior overhaul designed to stand out in the crowded SUV segment:

• Rear LED light bar, a sleek & continuous lighting signature across the tailgate.
• Modernised V-Motion grille, sharper front fascia paired with redesigned DRLs.
• Functional aero elements, a triangular air intakes that enhance its commanding presence.

Challenging the Titans

Nissan is aiming for a combined fuel economy of 40 mpg (approximately 17 km/L). This target places the X-Trail e-POWER directly in the crosshairs of its primary rivals: the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and the Honda CR-V Hybrid.

Whilst Nissan may be a late arrival to the US hybrid scene, the 3rd-generation e-POWER system offers a unique advantage. With a thermal efficiency of 42%, it promises not only competitive fuel consumption but also a more linear, EV-like driving experience that sets it apart from the traditional hybrid setups used by Toyota and Honda.
