Hyundai IONIQ V debuts the "Origin" design language set to reclaim the Chinese EV market

Hyundai Motor has officially unveiled the production version of the IONIQ V at the Beijing Auto Show 2026.

Featuring the radical new “Origin” design language, this model marks the beginning of a massive 20-model offensive planned for the Chinese market over the next five years.

The "Origin" Aesthetic

The IONIQ V has instantly become a talking point for its bold, single-curve silhouette. The design is a futuristic fusion, blending the sharp, geometric lines reminiscent of a Cybertruck with the aggressive, low-slung sportiness of a Lamborghini. This "Origin" identity will serve as the blueprint for Hyundai's next generation of EVs.

• Specifically tuned for Chinese roads, focusing on a refined, quiet ride.

The interior is designed to be a sanctuary of technology, catering to the Chinese preference for rear-seat luxury:

• Visual Mastery: A massive 27-inch 4K panoramic display spans the dashboard, complemented by a Horizon Head-Up Display (H-HUD).
• AI Intelligence: Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, the vehicle features an LLM-based Smart AI Assistant for natural, conversational control over all car functions.
• Atmosphere: Immersive Dolby Atmos 8-speaker sound and customisable ambient lighting.

While the IONIQ V is currently a China-exclusive model, its "Origin" design cues and 800V technology set a new global benchmark for the brand.
