More than just solving range anxiety, it embraces off-road capability to the fullest. The top-spec 4WD features intelligent i-WD all-wheel drive, allowing drivers to tailor responses to any terrain, while the entry 2WD delivers effortless road presence.

The vehicle inspires genuine confidence and demands a spirited driving style, backed by massive horsepower and torque. Out on long highway runs, elevated visibility and firm, taut suspension tuning shine, though sharp potholes produce a minor thump given its hefty curb weight.

However, aggressive high-speed cornering isn't recommended. A tall boxy body and high ground clearance mean noticeable body roll, requiring sensible driving in tight turns... though calm drivers will barely notice it.

Front-end styling retains the iconic signature of the JAECOO 6T EV, with subtle revisions including the removal of the 'i' grille emblem, wider wheel arch flares, and slightly broader body dimensions.

The drivetrain runs on 100% electric motor drive, with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine serving purely as an onboard generator without mechanically connecting to the wheels.

Our tested 4WD ULTRA trim features intelligent i-WD all-wheel drive powered by dual electric motors producing a combined 315 kW (428 hp) and 505 Nm of torque. It offers 9 terrain modes, accessible exclusively via the central touchscreen menu.

Meanwhile, the 2WD MAX trim features a single rear motor delivering 185 kW (252 hp) and 300 Nm of torque—more than enough power if hardcore off-roading isn't on your agenda.

You can plug in for up to 160 km of pure EV range (4WD model)—perfect for daily commuting without touching petrol. For long-distance trips, filling the 45-litre fuel tank unlocks a massive total combined range of up to 800 km!

A 33.67 kWh LFP battery supports up to 100 kW DC fast charging, topping up from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes—one of the fastest charging specs among REEVs currently available.

When running long distances purely on the petrol generator, fuel consumption averages around 14 km/litre.

P.S. The 2WD variant delivers an even higher pure EV range of 190 km!

100% boxy design—refined and expanded over earlier J6 and J5 models. Measuring 4,503 mm long, 1,950 mm wide, and 1,785 mm tall with 220 mm ground clearance, it stands as the largest model in the lineup.

An expanded footprint creates decent cabin space over a 2,783 mm wheelbase. While not overly cavernous, it comfortably seats four adults with plush seating. However, maneuvering this boxy SUV through congested city traffic takes some patience, and cruising above 120 km/h will noticeably increase energy consumption.

The minimalist dashboard features exactly two physical buttons, wrapped in dark synthetic leather trim. While sleek, adjusting vehicle settings requires glancing over at the central screen.

That said, hardware specs are top-tier: a frameless 15.6-inch central display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip delivers swift, fluid menu navigation.

A 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster is neatly recessed into the dashboard at eye level, shielding it from direct sunlight for crystal-clear legibility.

The key advantage of the 540-degree camera's Transparency Mode is negotiating steep inclines, allowing occupants to see the trail ahead even when the bonnet points straight at the sky.

The 4WD ULTRA trim adds luxury passenger features, including a front 'Queen Seat' with electric leg rest, multi-mode massage seating, dual-zone climate control, and heated/ventilated seats.

A standout touch: plugging a 32GB USB drive enables full 360-degree drive recording straight from the onboard surround cameras with crisp image quality.

Rear seats offer equal comfort, featuring reclinable seatbacks and a Panoramic Sunroof (which opens electronically on top trims) to create a bright, airy ambience.

Rear styling mirrors the 6T EV, set apart by generous ground clearance and a decorative tailgate box gimmick (functional storage box accessories can be purchased separately at dealerships!).

Boot capacity offers a generous 450 litres—fitting 3–4 large suitcases easily—expanding to 1,245 litres with flat-folding rear seats and a side-opening tailgate door.
