Honda e:N2 Review: A crossover SUV packed with an unprecedented level of features for a Honda, featuring perfectly tuned driving dynamics at a price of 1.429 million Baht.

What’s Great?

  • Delivers a solid and responsive performance for "everyday" driving.
  • The cabin is masterfully crafted to provide an exceptional sense of personal space.
  • It comes fully loaded with convenience features, surpassing even the flagship Accord.

What’s Good?

  • The redesigned chassis allows older battery and motor technologies to truly shine.
  • Thoughtful little details genuinely elevate the everyday user experience.
  • The rear cargo area is impressively spacious.

What’s Not Great?

  • The provided battery specifications and charging speeds leave the car at a big disadvantage against modern competitors.
  • While the rear torsion beam suspension is well-tuned, it still falls short when compared to rivals in the same class and price bracket.

Honda eN2 running in a cityThe Honda e:N2 is perfectly set up for daily driving, delivering a highly enjoyable experience behind the wheel. While it may not be built for sustained high-speed driving, it scores a perfect 10/10 for everyday usability.

The 204hp electric front wheel drive motorThe powertrain keeps things familiar, utilizing the exact same motor and battery specs as the Honda e:N1, features a single-motor, front-wheel-drive setup pushing out 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, paired with a 68.8 kWh battery pack.

Although Honda claims a slightly improved maximum driving range over the e:N1, the charging capabilities tell a different story. With an AC charging rate of 6.6 kW and a DC fast-charging cap of just 78.8 kW, the specs feel noticeably dated. When stacked up against virtually any rival in this price bracket, where triple-digit DC charging speeds have long become the baseline, this is a tough pill to swallow.

When it comes to real-world performance, however, the e:N2 easily passes the test. EV first-timers will find it incredibly easy to fall in love with how this electric motor responds. Cruising around feels smooth and nausea-free, yet when you smash the pedal to overtake, it delivers that instant, pin-you-to-your-seat acceleration. To top it off, Honda has thrown in a synthetic engine sound system, which elevates the "Sport Mode" experience to 100% pure, unadulterated driving thrills.

The eN2 get a longer wheel base to fit the new structure and a 68.8 kWh batteryAt first glance, the sharp exterior lines might trick you into thinking this is a sporty hot hatch.

In reality, it’s a "sporty-styled" SUV Crossover sitting on a stretched wheelbase designed specifically to accommodate that large battery pack. This extension pushes the Honda e:N2's wheelbase right into Honda CR-V territory, translating directly into a massive upgrade in rear-seat passenger legroom.

Honda eN2 rear viewThe rear design is easily one of my favorite highlights, it hits the sweet spot between minimalism, modern aesthetics, and sporty flair.

My only minor gripe is the turn signals; they are a bit on the smaller side. Under Thailand’s unforgiving, blazing sunlight, they might be a little tough for drivers behind you to spot.

Moving to the back, the trunk space is absolutely massive, boasting a generous 513-liter capacity. It features a two-stage adjustable floor so you can get a completely flat surface when the rear seats are folded down. Do that, and your cargo space expands to a whopping 1,172 liters.

One slightly quirky thing to note is the tailgate, it opens up incredibly high, extending well above the car's actual roofline. If you routinely park in low-ceiling garages or tight underground spots, you'll definitely want to watch out. Fortunately, Honda thought this through: the power tailgate allows you to customize the opening height, comes with a hands-free kick sensor, and includes a handy Walk-Away Auto Lock feature.

Front console of Honda eN2If you’re a former Honda driver, you’ll feel right at home the moment you step inside. The multifunction steering wheel layout is instantly familiar, giving you effortless control over the infotainment system and the Adaptive Cruise Control functions right at your fingertips.

Safety-world is where Honda really didn't skimp. The Honda SENSING suite comes fully loaded, but they’ve raised the bar with a 360-degree surround-view camera and Blind Spot Information. Another clever touch is the digital rearview mirror, which lets you toggle between a traditional mirror and a real-time camera feed that doubles as a built-in dashcam. Finally, you get Cross Traffic Monitoring to give you that extra peace of mind by warning you of oncoming traffic when backing out of tight parking spots.

A foldable middle console where you can make it as a walk-through spaceIt’s the clever little details that really make a difference, like the folding center console. You can collapse it to create a versatile storage space, or leave it down completely to create a "walk-through" cabin, allowing you to easily slide over and exit from the passenger side when parked in tight spots.

Operating buttons comes in handy with Honda eN2And a massive "thank you" to Honda for keeping real, physical buttons! Tactile buttons like these make operating the car during a drive incredibly easy and intuitive, instead of lazily burying every single function deep inside menus on that giant central touchscreen.

The Verdict

This is a car that vividly showcases Honda’s fierce determination to fight for its share of the Thai automotive market. By packing it to the gills with features while maintaining that refined, signature Honda driving dynamic, it leaves us feeling a bit bittersweet. You can’t help but think it's a shame this car is only making its market debut now in 2026. Had it arrived two or three years earlier, it would have genuinely shaken the industry to its core.

However, if you aren't bothered by that 78.8 kW DC fast-charging figure, or if your daily routine relies on overnight home charging, the Honda e:N2 remains a highly compelling option. This level of sheer generosity in the spec sheet is something the Thai market has honestly "never seen before" from a Honda badge.

Of course, in today's landscape, a pure EV still might not offer the absolute, go-anywhere versatility of a hybrid or a traditional internal combustion engine. In this case, the old saying rings true: "You don't choose the car; the car chooses you." But for those whose lifestyles align with what the e:N2 offers, we can confidently assure you of one thing—"You absolutely will not be disappointed with it in daily use."
