Just 30 minutes after its launch in China, the Nissan NX8 has already garnered 8,423 pre-orders! With a starting price of around 710,000 Thai baht, it features the 800V 5C architecture and is available with both all-EV and EREV powertrains.
800V technology and a long-range railway network of over 1,450 km.
The Nissan NX8 is built on an 800V architecture and 5C charging level, capable of achieving a maximum power output of 463 kW. It can charge from 10-80% in just 12 minutes.
The EREV model comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that acts as a generator to charge the battery, and a 250 kW electric motor, providing a purely electric driving range of 310 km. When combined with the generator operation, it can travel up to 1,450 km on electric power (CLTC standard), with a low fuel consumption rate of only 4.51 liters/100 km (approximately 22.2 km/liter) when the battery is charged.
As for the all-electric BEV models in China, there are two specifications available: a 215kW (288 hp) motor and a 250kW (335 hp) model. They come with 73kWh and 81kWh batteries, respectively, providing a maximum driving range of 650 km per charge (CLTC).

Structure and design
The NX8's body is designed as a spacious mid-size SUV, with a length of 4,870 mm and a long wheelbase of 2,917 mm, resulting in a versatile interior.
The exterior is designed under the new V-motion concept, featuring a striking 2.4-meter-long LED light bar on the front. The interior emphasizes premium features and cutting-edge technology:
- The system is powered by the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor currently available.
- The upgraded Nissan OS 2.0 operating system is smoother and supports intelligent voice commands.
- The e-Damper electronic suspension system can predict road conditions in advance to adjust ride comfort in real time.

Price and public feedback.
The Nissan NX8 launched with an introductory price of just 149,900 yuan (approximately 710,000 - 790,000 baht), while the regular retail price ranges from 159,900 to 209,900 yuan (approximately 840,000 - 1.1 million baht). This is considered fiercely competitive given its specifications.
For Thailand, Nissan recently launched the All-New Nissan Kicks e-POWER lineup, so we'll likely have to wait a while longer (or possibly even longer) before it's available here.
